Shorts Circuit - Privacy
Shorts Circuit Privacy Policy
Effective: 10/21/2026
Operated by: Timeless Way Interactive
Shorts Circuit is a desktop application for Windows that helps a creator publish their own short videos to their own accounts on YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and Snapchat. It runs on the creator's own computer. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it is kept, and how to remove it.
Who uses the app
The app is used by the creator who installs it, to publish to accounts they own or manage. It does not provide a public service and does not collect information about other people.
Information the app handles
- Your videos and notes: video files you add, captions, hashtags and settings. These stay on your computer.
- Connected account details: when you connect an account, the platform gives the app an access token and basic account details such as the account name and its platform identifier.
- TikTok information: if you connect TikTok, the app reads your own profile name and the titles, captions, cover images and links of your public posts, so it can reuse a post's caption and hashtags when the same video is published elsewhere. The app does not download your videos from TikTok and never posts to TikTok.
- Publishing results: the identifiers and links of posts the app publishes for you, their status, and simple counts such as views and likes where the platform provides them.
How the information is used
Only to do what you ask: prepare each publication, upload the video you chose to the account you chose, follow its processing, and show you the result. The app does not use your information for advertising, does not sell it, and does not share it with anyone other than the platform you are publishing to.
Where it is stored
- Your library, publication history and settings are stored on your computer.
- Access tokens are stored in your operating system's credential store (Windows Credential Manager), never in the app's database or logs.
- The app talks directly from your computer to the platforms' official APIs (TikTok, Google/YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat). [Your name or studio] does not run a server that receives your data.
- Each platform's own privacy policy applies to what you publish there. Use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Removing your information
1. In the app, disconnect each account (this deletes its stored token).
2. Revoke the app's access on each platform. For TikTok: Settings and privacy > Security and permissions > Apps and services permissions > remove Shorts Circuit. For Google: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
3. Uninstall the app and delete its data folder (on Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\io.github.claymstamper.shorts-circuit).
Because no copy of your data is kept anywhere but your computer, these steps complete the deletion.
Children
The app is not directed at children and is meant for creators managing their own accounts.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
